Engine fluid is brown or black, transmission fluid is red or pink, differential fluid is brown and power steering fluid is light brown. Knowing what color the fluid is will help us quickly diagnose your problem and advise you. Don't wait to call because it could mean more trouble if you delay the repair.

A: If your engine light comes on and stays on, it could be a simple problem but it's best to have us check it out to avoid costly repairs if it's something more series. The onboard computer in many cars will turn this light on as a warning so be sure and let us check it out. It could be something minor, but better safe than sorry!

A. Regular oil, lube and filter changes protect and extend the life of your car. Synthetic oils are premium, high concentrated lubricants and provide higher mileage between changes. Regular oil works just as well as synthetic oils if it is changed on a regular basis (every 3,000-5,000 miles).

A: Temperature extremes require different service for your vehicle. For example, it's a good idea to have your coolant checked prior to the cold months to determine its freezing point. The same is true in the hot weather months-you should have it checked to determine the boiling point. When it comes to coolants and anti-freeze, it's cheaper to fix before the season gets started.
